i wouldn't have mentioned this if it wasn't consistent, but it's not me or my info . . .
so looking at my map, i answered finnigans questions... wouldn't give the pw. i found a guide to finnigans questions and used that, and still couldn't get it.
i've started a new game, played normal and played with walkthru and he won't coff it up.
could this be a bug? can i bypass this point by setting a flag? maybe just teleporting outside the walls?

Re: finnigan: won't give password?
he should give feedback on the questions and you should be able to figure out which one you answered wrong. This part *should* not break easily.
if you teleport outside of trinsic you will run into trouble when you die.

Re: finnigan: won't give password?
all he says is "i still have my doubts that you're the avatar." and gives no specific indication of. . . anything, really.
it's as if i missed doing somethign that i didn't know i should do -- i know that a lot of games back in this day did stuff like that, but i completed the report.
thoughts?

Re: finnigan: won't give password?
You either didn't finish the report correctly or answered the copyprotection answers wrong.

Re: finnigan: won't give password?
he told me he was satisfied with the report and that i should go to britain to track down the killer.
i've answered the questions according to the map i have, according to maps i found online and according to the answers i found on a couple different pages on the web, none of which pass.

friendly informative tip: learn how to read.
here's a friendly tip to anyone wishing to post to this forum: learn how to read. this can save you some headache and mild embarrassment.
for example, when an npc asks you for the "longitude" of an island, then you should give him the longitude. if you're like most people, you read by skim and your brain fills in the blanks based on assumptions. sometimes in cases like this, your brain fills in the word "latitude" when the screen says "longitude"
this is not a unique phenominon... meaning that people that run websites across the web can make the same visual assumptions... so when you try to verify your information against someone elses info, it can have the exact same error. Typically, info like that can propogate across the web; so once an error, always an error.
so yeah. . . just sayin.
